In Your Space are delighted to have teamed up with The Serious Road Trip to present to you a truly unique experience for the City. From the 23rd-29th June, St Columb’s Park will host a week long series of Circus Performances and Workshops within two circus tents.
This is grass roots circus at its best – not your run-of-the-mill candy floss / animals / poster on every lamppost circus - These are performers who entertain, teach and improvise, bringing laughter to the worlds children, having performed in Afghanistan, Bosnia and Palestine in recent years.
The weeks events will include 4 workshops every day open to schools and community groups from across the City. Evening performances will be different each night featuring The greatest corner shop in Paris, The Crumble Brothers, Gaspard the champion of the world, Between Dreams and Reality, The Body Doubles. In addition to this, French and local musicians team up to perform a Cabaret evening and there will also be a French Cinema night, with live musicians playing along to silent movies ... the list goes on and on!
We would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the assistance of Derry City Council Festivals Office without whose support this event simply could not take place.
